walkin the talk, livin the dream

saw and listened to alice walker talk the other night, in conversation with jack kornfield. [don't you wonder sometimes 'bout sound and vision? -david bowie] carrying the lamp of love, was the topic. loving kindness. we know it like we know the taste of water when we're thirsty. we are meant to love and be loved. and, echoing also george orwell, it is a radical act to love an other in this world, which is why weddings are so cool, which is why we cry when we give birth. we are so ready for it.

and listened to this song from the movie/play Hedwig: about how before love, we were two in one, and then the gods became threatened and they struck us down into separate halves. fuckers. before 'love.' before shame.

friend last night mentioned that the 3 gorges damn is going to tilt the earth off its axis one full inch, which led to the magnetic shift theory, which both inspires me to DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE NOW but of course, there's only so much time in a day.
